CHERYL LANA
I have always been interested in drawing and painting ever since I can remember. I have taken classes from various artists in acrylics, oils, and lately, in watercolor. My homes have never had enough walls to satisfy me . . . there was never enough room to hang all of my work. After 50 years things have not changed, my walls, halls, and stairwells are constantly being rearranged so I can hang just one more painting.
My work covers a wide range of genres including cubist, landscape, still life, collage, and impressionism depending on my mood or my inspiration. Since I have lived the last 40 years in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where there is inspiration outside of every window, and there are four distinct seasons where the weather can change in minutes, inspiration is never lacking.
Now that I have retired, I have more time to put into my work. Painting is a beautiful, challenging, and fulfilling way to express my feelings. I truly enjoy my God-given talent and making people happy. I hope you will enjoy my work.
